We recently had our company mid winter Xmas dinner at Sails Restaurant . We hired Downtown All Stars as our entertainment. There were approx. 120 guests made up of clients and staff ranging in age from early 20s to late 70s so I was a bit nervous initially as to whether the band would appeal to such a wide age group. Danny and his band had all age groups on the dance floor. The entertainment turned out to be a huge success with lots of positive comments and praise. The variety in the playlist was amazing. My husband and I have very different tastes in music, so I was a little apprehensive about choosing a band for our wedding. I found Downtown All Stars through a Google search, and listened to some of their music online. I was impressed and booked them for our big day. Danny and the band were very accommodating, and discussed all our options for our special day well in advance. I found them professional and thorough, nothing was left to chance. Our venue was different to the standard venue ( a boat), but Danny just took it in his stride. Nothing was an issue, which was so lovely, and really set our minds at ease. When our big day came, there was the band, all set up and ready to go. Our guests were most impressed by the choice of music played. There was something for everyone. We had Danny playing at our corporate pre-match function before the All Blacks vs England test match. He was fantastic, created such a cool/smooth environment for our guests of 200. His professionalism and talented ability was highly visible and he was admired by all. He was extremely easy to work with and very adaptable though out the function.
